Chef Keisha and Chef Mya met about eight years ago both working as middle school teachers in a rural city in South Carolina. We knew early on for meeting that we both shared a passion for cooking. But there is no way you could have ever told either one of us that we would be sharing a business together and selling seasonings, oils, etc! Our friendship began in the kitchen with ease. We always shared recipes, meals and asked for opinions of each other's food. This was quite natural, However I do believe the bond was initially created one day when I was so broke I didn't have enough money for lunch. I was in my classroom and Mya had came in with her small lunch and immediately offered to share half. I do mean half of everything! She had shared with no questions asked her sandwich chips and salad. In my head I'm thinking she doesn't have to do this at all, but she did so effortlessly. Such a small act of kindness can literally go along way! I knew that I wanted to give her not only lunch in return, but my loyalty. From then on eight years ago it was always scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. Which is extremely rare to find in today's society especially amongst females. This is truly cherished and never forgotten. Not one ounce of disloyalty has ever been displayed amongst us. In our friendship we love to shop, travel and explore different cuisines and cultures! This interest is forevermore so the common question “what's your favorite food” remains unanswered in that we have so much more to explore! We are on a mission to visit London for a particular cooking class in reference to pasta! and our story continues…..
